At&t brings Back Rollover, This Time for Your Data – Now you get all Data that you payed for.
At&t has announced this Wednesday that it is launching Data rollover. Current At&t customers will see the change automatically and it cost nothing more, that is if you already have a data plan.
So what is Data rollover?, When you purchase a Data plan either for yourself or a Family Data plan. Any unused Data gets carried over to the next month. So if you have 10GB plan and you only used 8GB of data, the rest will be carried over to the next month and you will have total of 12GB to use the next month.
This is a great news for consumers because it cost nothing more. Now that you get unlimited Minutes with purchase of the data plan, rollover minutes would not help you. Data plans on other hand are expensive and keeping your unused data is a huge plus since we often use more data on certain months, and barely any on some.
At&t will not be the only one with rollover data plans. T-mobile has also launched Rollover Program that will also go in effect this month. Verizon has nothing like that but will most likely introduce rollover or will create more attractive data plans to compete with At&t and T-Mobile. We will see who wins.
