When it’s about gifting children a piece of technology, parents become insecure. For young ones, phones seem to be a distraction and laptops are just too much for them all at once. So the mixture of a phone, iPod and a laptop speed processor gave us the tablet. Most of the companies call it a tab or tablet where as apple keeping its cool seems to enjoy using the name iPad for its version of the tablet. Multiple choices are available today in the market for buyers. Almost every company that has advanced in the technology of displays has at some point introduced a tablet but success has not favored all.

The major stake holders of the market seem to be Apple and Samsung whereas the rest share part of the market. A person who wants to buy the latest tablet must know a few things about a tab and must compare these aspects with others he has as an option. The screen resolution, the density of pixels, the screen size, the weight as well as most importantly the processing speed. Newer tabs not only connect to Wi-Fi but also to LTE networks at a little extra fee.

The new Apple products like the Apple iPad mini 3 as well as the Apple iPad Air 2 already have a lot of consumers waiting to get their hands on them because of the massive Apple following. However, great competitors like Samsung have introduced multiple devices; proper tablets and phone/tablets that can work as a phone too are all out in the market. Samsung has also introduced the Note series, Note 1, 2 and 3 that have a great processing speed and can perform the tasks of both a tablet as well as a phone. Other companies like Toshiba, Ainol, Google, Xtouch, Acer and windows tablets all are somewhat on the same level and improvements take place every now and then.
